5 April 2026, Ipoh, Perak – In conjunction with the Program MADANI Rakyat organised by the Prime Minister’s Department through the Implementation Coordination Unit (PACU), Bateriku (M) Sdn Bhd participated in this national-scale initiative as a Strategic Partner (RSA) and key exhibitor. The programme was held at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Ipoh from 3 to 5 April 2026, bringing together various ministries, government agencies and industry partners to strengthen the nation’s sustainable development agenda.
Program MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2026: Bateriku’s Strategic Participation in the National Sustainability Agenda
This participation aligns with the aspirations of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) in advancing circular economy practices, responsible waste management, and the adoption of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles among the public and industry players.
Bateriku’s Commitment to Supporting the National Sustainability Agenda
Throughout Program MADANI Rakyat, Bateriku showcased a holistic approach in developing a more sustainable automotive ecosystem centred on green mobility. The approach focuses on battery lifecycle management, waste reduction, and the development of future mobility ecosystems.
Key initiatives highlighted include:
- Used Lead Acid Battery (ULAB) management in compliance with Department of Environment (DOE) standards
- A network of more than 250 Pitstop locations serving as certified battery collection centres
- “Second Life Battery” initiative to reduce industrial waste disposal
- E-waste management through strategic collaboration with industry players
- Mobility ecosystem development covering ICE, Hybrid and EV vehicles
These initiatives support national efforts in addressing climate change, reducing environmental pollution, and enhancing public well-being through sustainable governance.

Green Mobility Ecosystem and Bateriku Technology Innovation
Beyond waste management and circular economy initiatives, Bateriku also plays a role as a mobility and sustainability innovation hub through technology development and product quality assurance.

- SIRIM and IEC certifications for ASTRA brand batteries
- Makmal Hijau for battery quality assurance and lifespan validation
- Battery performance testing in accordance with industry standards
Electric Vehicle (EV) Ecosystem Support
- Electric vehicle (EV) battery diagnostics
- Technical support for electric mobility ecosystem
Sustainable Industry Network Development
- BGarage certified workshop network with MyHIJAU status
- Sustainable battery supply chain management
- Integration of green mobility solutions within the automotive ecosystem
Green Industry Talent Development
- Technical training through Akademi Bateriku
- Skilled workforce development in battery and EV technologies
Throughout the programme, the Bateriku booth was located at Zone H, adjacent to MARA and near agencies such as JPJ, KKM and AADK. This participation provided the public with an opportunity to better understand the role of batteries in environmental sustainability and future mobility.
Visitors had the opportunity to:
- Learn more about car and motorcycle batteries
- Understand circular economy and ESG concepts
- Explore Bateriku’s mobility services and ecosystem

Program MADANI Rakyat 2026 Perak Officially Launched by the Prime Minister
Program MADANI Rakyat 2026 for the state of Perak was officially launched by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim. In his speech, the government reaffirmed its continued commitment to ensuring public welfare remains a priority despite global uncertainties.
Also present at the programme were the Menteri Besar of Perak, YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad; Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Tuan Nga Kor Ming and Chief Secretary to the Government, YBhg. Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar.
The Prime Minister also officiated the presentation of several initiatives under Sentuhan Kasih KPKT, including:
- Program Baik Pulih Rumah
- Program Bina Baharu Rumah
- Program Rumah Mesra Rakyat
- Sentuhan Kasih Syawal contribution for those in need

Bateriku Participation Aligned with Theme “Bandar Lestari, Perumahan Berkualiti, Komuniti Harmoni”
Bateriku’s participation in the programme aligns with the theme “Bandar Lestari, Perumahan Berkualiti, Komuniti Harmoni”, which emphasises sustainable development and community well-being. With more than 300,000 visitors from across Perak, the programme served as an effective platform for delivering government services to the public while expanding awareness on sustainability.
At the same time, this participation further strengthens Bateriku’s position as an industry player supporting the National Green Agenda and the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).
Bateriku extends its appreciation to the Prime Minister’s Department, particularly PACU, for the invitation to participate as a Strategic Partner in this national-scale programme. This collaboration is expected to continue strengthening efforts to build a greener, safer and more sustainable mobility ecosystem for Malaysia’s future.
