JOHOR BAHRU, 3 November 2026 – Bateriku continues to strengthen its position as a high-potential Bumiputera company after being selected to participate in the XCELERATE Programme, a structured facilitation initiative by the Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (TERAJU) aimed at preparing local companies for a potential public listing.

The recognition was formalised through the presentation of a XCELERATE Programme participation certificate to Bateriku during the TERAJU Aspirasi Business Symposium 2026 (TABS 2026), held at DoubleTree by Hilton, Johor Bahru, on 3 November 2026.

Bateriku Strengthens Its IPO Readiness Through TERAJU's XCELERATE Programme

This selection marks an important milestone in Bateriku's growth journey, reflecting the company's commitment to enhancing organisational capabilities, strengthening corporate governance and building a more sustainable business foundation to support its long-term growth ambitions.

The XCELERATE Programme forms part of TERAJU's Bumiputera business development pathway, which comprises three key stages: ASCEND, ENHANCE and XCELERATE. Each programme provides tailored facilitation to address companies' respective stages of development and business requirements.

Unlike conventional business development initiatives, XCELERATE places particular emphasis on pre-listing readiness and access to the capital market ecosystem through collaboration between TERAJU and strategic industry partners.

TERAJU's XCELERATE Programme Opens Pathways Towards IPO

The XCELERATE Programme is designed to help high-potential Bumiputera companies assess, develop and strengthen their business capabilities before entering the capital market.

Its implementation is built around three core pillars: Assess, Build and Connect, each addressing critical areas in preparing a company for a potential public listing.

Assess

This stage involves evaluating a company's IPO readiness and identifying gaps in its organisational capabilities. The assessment helps determine areas requiring improvement, particularly in business performance, financial management and corporate governance.

Build

The capability-building phase focuses on strengthening organisational structures, financial discipline, corporate governance and equity structuring. It also includes developing an equity story – a compelling narrative that communicates a company's value proposition and growth potential to build investor confidence.

Connect

This component provides companies with opportunities to engage directly with key players in the IPO ecosystem, including investment banks, principal advisers, legal professionals, auditors, investor relations specialists and strategic investors.

Through this approach, selected companies gain more than exposure to the public listing process. They also have opportunities to establish strategic relationships that can support business expansion and access to equity financing.

The programme also incorporates pre-listing readiness workshops, company assessments and structured business-matching sessions through XCELERATE IPO Synergy. Participants can further explore post-programme pathways through Bursa Malaysia's listing ecosystem and relevant TERAJU financing and facilitation initiatives.

TABS 2026 Strengthens the Bumiputera Business Ecosystem

The presentation of the XCELERATE Programme certificate took place alongside TERAJU Aspirasi Business Symposium 2026, which brought together entrepreneurs, industry players, financial institutions and government agencies to discuss growth opportunities and the future direction of the Bumiputera economy.

Johor served as the final destination for the 2026 TERAJU Aspirasi Business series, following previous engagements in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Sarawak, Penang and Pahang.

TERAJU Chief Executive Officer, YBrs. Encik Junady Nawawi, explained that this year's symposium format provided greater opportunities for discussions, forums and knowledge-sharing sessions between participating companies and panellists from various industry backgrounds.

The approach aims to broaden entrepreneurs' understanding of economic opportunities, financing access and strategies for scaling their businesses, particularly in an increasingly competitive economic environment.

Malaysia's Minister of Economy, YB Tuan Haji Akmal Nasrullah bin Mohd Nasir, who officiated the programme, highlighted the importance of ensuring that national economic growth translates into tangible opportunities for local companies and Bumiputera entrepreneurs.

He also emphasised that support for entrepreneurs should extend beyond financing alone, encompassing guidance, capability development and pathways towards capital market participation.

Meanwhile, TABS 2026 also featured insights into Johor's economic development through the official representative of the Johor Menteri Besar, YB Tuan Syed Hussein bin Syed Abdullah, Deputy Chairman of the Johor State Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs and Human Resources Committee.

He expressed his appreciation to TERAJU for selecting Johor as one of the symposium's host destinations, while highlighting the state's economic growth potential, supported by the implementation of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

Collaboration between the state and federal governments through the JS-SEZ is expected to serve as a catalyst for attracting high-impact investments, expanding business opportunities and increasing local companies' participation in industrial supply chains.

In line with the Johor Economic Transformation Programme (JETP), the state has also set a target of increasing its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to RM260 billion by 2030, creating broader growth opportunities for industry players, including Bumiputera enterprises.

Bateriku Continues to Strengthen Its Automotive Mobility Ecosystem

For Bateriku, selection into the XCELERATE Programme represents another significant step in its journey to evolve from a vehicle battery assistance provider into a more comprehensive automotive services ecosystem.

Since its establishment in March 2014, Bateriku has developed a technology-driven business model that connects vehicle owners with an extensive network of automotive services through its digital platforms, Pitstop network, BHero workforce and ecosystem partners.

With an increasingly extensive operational presence nationwide, Bateriku continues to strengthen its capabilities in delivering battery-related solutions, roadside assistance and automotive aftersales services.

Alongside this expansion, strengthening corporate governance, financial discipline and organisational structures remains a key priority to ensure the company's growth is managed in a structured and sustainable manner.

Participation in the XCELERATE Programme provides Bateriku with a platform to assess its organisational readiness, identify areas for improvement and gain greater exposure to the capital market ecosystem and strategic investors.

This recognition further reflects Bateriku's ongoing efforts to advance into its next phase of growth with a stronger corporate foundation.

With its automotive services ecosystem continuing to expand and operational capabilities becoming increasingly established, Bateriku remains committed to moving forward and creating long-term value for its customers, business partners and Malaysia's wider automotive ecosystem.
