Bateriku has taken another significant step into Malaysia’s new-energy automotive ecosystem after being officially authorised as an SVOLT overseas regional after-sales service agent, following specialised EV battery pack training conducted in China.

The milestone strengthens Bateriku’s technical capabilities in supporting electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) battery systems, while marking the company’s continued expansion beyond its established lead-acid battery business.

Bateriku Officially Authorised as SVOLT Regional After-Sales Service Agent, Strengthening EV Battery Capabilities

The authorisation was granted by SVOLT Energy Technology CO LTD after Bateriku was evaluated and approved by SVOLT’s After-sales Service Department. The official After-sales Service Authorization Certificate, issued to Bateriku (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Under the authorization, Bateriku is qualified to provide after-sales services for SVOLT power battery packs, covering areas including troubleshooting, testing, batch issue rectification, battery pack maintenance and repair, and accident investigation. The authorization period is aligned with the validity of the service contract between SVOLT, further strengthening Bateriku’s role within the wider EV after-sales service ecosystem.

From Strategic Partnership to Technical Capability

The latest development follows Bateriku’s strategic collaboration with SVOLT announced earlier this year, which identified EV battery diagnostics.

As part of the effort to build the required technical capabilities, four members of Bateriku’s personnel from Makmal Hijau, Akademi Bateriku and Operation team travelled to China from 28 to 31 July 2026 for specialised training with SVOLT and its automotive partners.

The programme combined theoretical learning, practical troubleshooting and technical assessment, with a particular focus on EV battery pack systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS).

The training provides Bateriku’s technical personnel with the knowledge and practical experience required to support EV battery pack diagnostics and after-sales service.

Hands-On Training in High-Voltage Battery Diagnostics

During the training, the Bateriku team learned how to assess high-voltage battery systems through both software-based diagnostics and physical inspection. The training covered lithium battery specifications, safety features, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), diagnostic tools and troubleshooting procedures.

One of the key areas was understanding the relationship between the battery and its Battery Management System (BMS). Trainees learned how to connect and register the BMS using SVOLT’s software and tools, retrieve battery data and determine whether a reported issue originates from the battery system or its management system.

Where required, the team was also trained to physically inspect the battery and check individual cell voltages using a multimeter before comparing the readings against data recorded by the BMS.

This hands-on approach allows technicians to develop a more comprehensive understanding of battery conditions and potential faults.

Practical EV and HEV Troubleshooting

The training also included practical troubleshooting sessions involving EV battery systems.

For EV applications, the team worked with the Geely BV79/80 platform and was exposed to battery cooling system diagnostics, including both air- and water-based cooling systems used to manage battery operating temperatures.

The team also received practical training on the Haval H6 HEV battery pack, learning how to assess whether the battery system was operating correctly.

The programme concluded with an assessment comprising both practical demonstrations and a written examination. All four participating Bateriku personnel successfully passed the assessment.

Strengthening After-Sales Support for New-Energy Vehicles

The official authorization expands Bateriku’s role from conventional automotive battery services into specialised new-energy vehicle after-sales support.

With the authorization from SVOLT, Bateriku can support designated SVOLT battery pack after-sales activities within the scope of its authorization, including technical troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repair.

For EV owners, this capability is increasingly important as vehicle electrification introduces more sophisticated high-voltage battery systems that require specialised tools, technical knowledge and strict safety procedures.

Bateriku’s investment in specialised training and technical capability is intended to help bridge this gap by developing local expertise in high-voltage battery diagnostics and after-sales support.

Building the Next Generation of Bateriku’s Automotive Ecosystem

The latest milestone represents Bateriku’s continued evolution from a lead-acid battery and roadside assistance business into a broader automotive service ecosystem capable of supporting multiple vehicle powertrain technologies.

The company’s collaboration with SVOLT and its technical development in EV and HEV battery systems form part of this longer-term direction.

As Malaysia’s automotive market continues its transition towards electrification, Bateriku aims to build the technical capabilities, partnerships and service infrastructure needed to support the changing needs of motorists.

With its new SVOLT after-sales service authorization and specialised high-voltage battery training, Bateriku is taking another step towards supporting the next generation of vehicles on Malaysian roads.
