30 January 2026, Kuala Lumpur — Bateriku reinforced its commitment to social responsibility by participating in Foodpanda’s Panda Fiesta 2026, held at the Sentul Depot. With an estimated attendance of over 1,500 participants, including Foodpanda riders, family members, and business partners, the event served as a platform to recognise riders as the backbone of Malaysia’s on-demand economy.
Bateriku’s participation had a clear objective: to provide practical support for gig workers within the evolving landscape of the gig economy.
Bateriku Keeps Gig Workers Moving
For delivery riders, motorcycles are not a convenience—they are a livelihood. Without reliable mobility, riders cannot operate. Recognising this, Bateriku focused on maintaining one of the most critical components: vehicle batteries.

At Panda Fiesta 2026, Bateriku showcased its GGR motorcycle batteries as a dependable solution for Foodpanda riders, designed to perform reliably in long shifts and challenging urban conditions.
Discounted Batteries Reduce Maintenance Costs
Throughout the event, Bateriku actively distributed 1,200 discount vouchers to help Foodpanda riders reduce vehicle maintenance costs. Attendees received:
- 600 vouchers worth RM5 for GGR motorcycle batteries
- 600 vouchers worth RM40 for Astra car batteries

These incentives were provided directly to riders for use during their next vehicle maintenance, with the goal of supporting financial stability and operational efficiency for Malaysia’s gig workforce.
Bateriku Celebrates the Grand Prize Winner
The grand prize winner of Panda Fiesta 2026 drove home a Proton Saga MC3. To further support the winner, Bateriku sponsored a one-time free battery replacement for the vehicle.
This contribution demonstrates Bateriku’s commitment to Malaysia’s mobility ecosystem, ensuring that vehicles powering gig workers are fully protected from day one.

Bateriku Aligns with Government Initiatives to Empower Mobility
Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for the Federal Territories, also attended the event to deliver her remarks and present prizes. In her speech, she recognised the dedication of riders across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan in supporting economic growth.

The Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to improving daily working conditions for riders, such as creating rest hubs for those who start early and finish late. She also noted plans to leverage the rider network for public service purposes, including rapid dissemination of information about missing persons as part of search-and-rescue initiatives.
Reinforcing the social impact of gig work, the Minister stated:
“Delivery riders play a vital role in enabling workforce participation, especially among working women and families, by supporting daily needs through reliable delivery services.”
Bateriku’s participation in Panda Fiesta 2026 aligns closely with these government initiatives, reflecting a shared mission to empower gig workers through technology, infrastructure, and community-driven programs.

Bateriku as a Protector of the Gig Economy
Beyond Panda Fiesta, Bateriku operates its own gig ecosystem through BHero, a roadside assistance program that provides on-demand battery replacement and other essential services to drivers and riders across Malaysia. Like Foodpanda riders, BHeroes work in fast-paced, technically challenging environments where speed, reliability, and trust are paramount.
By combining practical support with broader community engagement, Bateriku positions itself as a responsible player in the gig economy, empowering mobility, supporting livelihoods, and contributing to sustainable urban growth.
