25 Februari 2026, Kuala Lumpur - Bateriku recently organised a vehicle battery health check session for AmBank employees at their Kuala Lumpur headquarters. In addition to learning about the condition of their car batteries, participants were also given the option to replace their batteries on-site at special discounted corporate rates.

This initiative forms part of Bateriku’s broader collaboration with financial institutions to provide added value to employees. Beyond AmBank, similar programmes have also been conducted with CIMB and RHB, reflecting Bateriku’s continued effort to bring essential vehicle support directly to workplaces.

Understanding Battery Health and When to Replace

As part of the session, employees were not only offered technical inspections by BHero but also briefed on the fundamentals of battery health to help them better understand their vehicle’s condition.

Bateriku technicians introduced the concept of a battery’s State of Health (SoH). It is a measurement that indicates how well a battery is performing compared to when it was new. Expressed as a percentage (%), SoH reflects the battery’s ability to store and deliver power efficiently. A reading close to 100% signals strong performance, while lower percentages suggest wear and declining reliability.

In general, a battery with an SoH below 60% is considered to be at higher risk of failure and should be replaced promptly. While it may still start the engine temporarily, its reliability becomes increasingly uncertain. Replacing the battery before complete failure occurs helps drivers avoid sudden breakdowns and unnecessary inconvenience.

Employees were also advised to look out for common warning signs such as slower engine cranking, dim headlights, dashboard alerts, or repeated jump-starts. Using specialised diagnostic tools, Bateriku technicians were able to assess battery health within minutes, providing immediate clarity and practical recommendations.

A Mystery Box segment was also held during the inspection session. Some participants walked away with RM100 cash vouchers for battery replacement.

Supporting Employee Mobility Through Corporate Partnerships

Beyond the technical checks, the session highlights the wider objective of Bateriku’s corporate collaborations which is to support support employee mobility in a practical and preventive manner.

By bringing battery health services directly to the workplace during office hours, employers can reduce the time employees would otherwise spend addressing vehicle issues off-site. If replacement is necessary, it can be carried out immediately within the same compound, ensuring minimal disruption to their daily routine.
