17th November 2025, Pulau Pinang - Bateriku Digital representative led by Chief Information Officer, Mr. Iqram, and Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Auzani, were invited to the Dell Global Business Centre in Pulau Pinang for an exclusive session titled “GEN – AI | AI Strategy PoC to Production for Leaders.”

The event brought together top industry minds to explore what drives real value in today’s AI driven world. This invitation reflects Dell’s recognition of Bateriku’s growing role in the national tech ecosystem and our commitment to future ready innovation.

Bateriku Digital Attend Dell Global Business Centre Session in Pulau Pinang: Strengthening Our AI Vision

The session featured two respected speakers:

  • Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Gupta, Global CTO and APJ Presales Lead at Dell Technologies, and
  • Ir. Dr. Ngoo SB, EIIiance VP and Industry Advisor for several leading tech companies.

Both leaders provided sharp insights on Malaysia’s AI direction, the global environment, and how businesses can turn AI talks into real outcomes.

AI Headlines vs Reality

Mr. Pushpendra opened the session with an honest take on what is happening across the AI market. The world is filled with bold AI headlines, but he stressed that leaders must stay grounded in reality. Many organisations are excited about AI, yet only a small percentage manage to transform that excitement into measurable results. In Malaysia, however, the landscape is shifting. AI is beginning to boost the national economic ecosystem and raise the country’s digital competitiveness.

He reminded the audience that technology and human expertise must co evolve. AI is trained on probability. Humans provide context, verification, and responsibility. The partnership between both sides will define the next decade.

AI as the Next Frontier

Mr. Pushpendra used a simple reference that resonated with everyone. He compared the AI journey to a familiar theme from Star Trek, the call to explore strange new worlds. The tech world is expanding, accelerating, and reshaping itself faster than ever.

These were some of the major takeaways from his presentation:

  • Technology is changing.
  • Behaviour is changing.
  • Business landscapes are changing.
  • Cities are becoming smarter and more interconnected.
  • Data volume continues to grow at an exponential rate.

The timing is ideal for organisations that want to capture opportunities. The cost of compute power is dropping. The volume and variety of data are rising. Infrastructure is more powerful and accessible. These conditions create a perfect environment for AI adoption.

According to Pushpendra, the question is no longer “Why AI?” but “Why not AI now?” AI is now recognized as a critical enabler for national missions. It helps strengthen security, transform education, drive economic growth, and improve service delivery across industries.

The Foundations and Challenges of AI Implementation

While the momentum is strong, the transition is not without challenges. Pushpendra outlined several hurdles that leaders must pay attention to:

  • The need to secure AI infrastructure
  • A fast changing AI landscape
  • The complexity of multicloud environments
  • The pressure to process more data with fewer resources

These challenges are not blockers. They are strategic checkpoints that guide organizations toward sustainable AI adoption. Businesses that plan well and adopt responsibly will enjoy long term advantages.

The Advantage of Edge AI

The second speaker, Ir. Dr. Ngoo SB, brought practical clarity to the discussion by focusing on Edge AI. For companies that manage field operations, on ground data, or decentralized systems, Edge AI is becoming a vital capability.

He highlighted four key advantages:

  1. Data privacy and locality - Sensitive data stays within the organization instead of relying fully on external networks.
  2. Low latency - Decisions are executed instantly because processing happens close to the source.
  3. Powering on-prem intelligence - Organisations can maintain operational resilience even when cloud connectivity is unstable.
  4. Works without stable internet - In regions with limited or inconsistent internet infrastructure, Edge AI ensures that operations continue without disruption.

His message was clear. AI should not be restricted to cloud environments alone. True business value comes when AI reaches the edge, where real activity happens.

How Bateriku is Moving Forward with AI

At Bateriku, the insights shared during the session aligned closely with the initiatives we are already driving internally. Our team has long recognized that AI will shape the future of mobility, service delivery, customer experience, and operational intelligence.

We have begun investing in AI powered solutions at multiple layers of our ecosystem. One of our most exciting developments is FATIN, our Fully Autonomous Text Interaction system. FATIN is built to streamline customer support, enhance job deployment efficiency, and improve operational workflows.

FATIN will serve as a foundation for future capabilities, including voice based interaction that will transform how customers communicate with us. This direction sits directly in line with the global shift toward deeper human machine partnership, which Pushpendra highlighted during the session.

Beyond customer engagement, we are also developing AI tools designed to empower business leaders and decision-makers. TASBIH is our AI assistant for CEOs and business owners, built to generate concise business summaries. Reading lengthy reports can be time-consuming, and TASBIH ensures leaders get actionable insights quickly, enabling faster and smarter decisions.

The name TASBIH carries a meaningful concept: just as a tasbih allows Muslims to scroll through beads during zikr, our TASBIH tool enables users to scroll through business summaries effortlessly making complex information simple and accessible.

Complementing TASBIH is TOBOMO, an AI-driven solution focused on financial intelligence. TOBOMO delivers clear, data-backed summaries of financial reports, helping businesses maintain clarity and confidence in their financial strategies without drowning in complex spreadsheets.

As we grow our digital ecosystem, Bateriku aims to apply AI in ways that improve reliability, speed, and safety across all our services. Our goal is not simply to follow AI trends but to use AI to solve real customer problems and enhance nationwide mobility support.

A Nation Moving Toward Smarter, Data Driven Infrastructure

Malaysia is entering a new era where AI becomes a core part of national development. Smarter roads. Safer mobility. Intelligent logistics. Connected communities. The foundation is being laid now, and companies that adapt early will help shape this environment.

Both speakers emphasized that the future will be driven by data rich systems and organizations capable of continuous innovation. The companies that succeed will be those that treat AI as a long-term partnership, not a one-time project.

The event reinforced our belief that Bateriku is on the right track. By strengthening our infrastructure, expanding our data capabilities, and pursuing AI that improves human outcomes, we aim to be one of the local leaders pushing Malaysia forward.

We extend our thanks to Julia Ling, Inside Alliances Partner Manager at Dell, for inviting our leadership team to this valuable session. Her support allows us to stay connected to global insights while preparing for the future of AI driven operations.
