This collaboration is part of Bateriku’s ongoing transformation into a connected roadside ecosystem. Supporting both four-wheeled and now two-wheeled road users across the country.

To kickstart the partnership, Bateriku has installed 10 Ryde EV battery swapping stations across key locations in the Klang Valley. These strategically located pitstops offer Ryde EV riders 24/7 access to fully charged batteries, making it easier and faster to continue their journeys.

This initiative supports Malaysia’s Smart City framework by integrating sustainability, mobility, and real-time IoT solutions.

What is Ryde EV?

Ryde EV is a local provider of micromobility solutions, offering electric motorcycles and scooters equipped with swappable battery systems. Their Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model allows riders to exchange depleted batteries with fully charged ones at various stations. Minimizing downtime and eliminating the need to wait for charging.

How Did This Partnership Begin?

According to Syed Faiz, Managing Director of Ryde EV:

“The idea came when we saw that Bateriku already had over 200 pitstops nationwide. It made perfect sense to integrate our battery swapping service with their established network.”

This partnership opens more doors for collaboration in areas such as breakdown assistance, aftersales services, and insurance.

From Bateriku’s CEO Azarol Faizi stated:

“We want to be at the forefront of this EV movement. Not just as a service provider, but as a platform that enables income opportunities, especially for our BHeroes.”

Bateriku’s long-term vision includes training BHeroes beyond roadside assistance, equipping them with skills in windscreen repair, insurance assessment, and now, EV mobility.
