About the role?

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating leads, promoting and selling battery products, and providing technical advice to customers. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, negotiating and closing sales, preparing quotations, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Sales Executive coordinates with internal teams for timely delivery, manages customer follow-ups, handles collections, and achieves sales and collection targets within the assigned territory while complying with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers including retailers, distributors, workshops, fleet operators, and end users.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitor offerings.
  • Generate leads through cold calls, visits, referrals, and digital channels.
  • Present and explain battery products, specifications, warranties, and pricing.
  • Provide technical guidance on battery selection, installation, and maintenance.
  • Build trust and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Negotiate terms, close deals, and prepare quotations/invoices
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all sales transactions.
  • Handle customer complaints, warranty claims, and service requests.
  • Conduct periodic follow-ups to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote repeat sales and upselling opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely collection and maintaining healthy receivables.
  • Follow up with customers for payments and work with finance teams to resolve disputes.
  • Maintain accurate daily sales reports, customer visit logs, and collection status.
  • Achieve sales and collection targets as set by the company, which may change from time to time.
  • Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, safety regulations, and follow all sales directions issued by management.
  • Required to support and participate in any sales related activities or company initiative as and when requested.
  • Operate within the assigned territory as determined by the company.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and willing to travel.
  • Able to work independently and manage time well.
  • Basic salary of RM1,800 + competitive commission.
