What you will do as a FOREMAN (MECHANIC)?
About the Job
The Technician is responsible for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are serviced to optimal performance standards. This role requires strong technical capability in both minor and major automotive repairs, including part replacement, maintenance work, and comprehensive diagnostic procedures. The Technician contributes to vehicle reliability, workshop efficiency, and customer satisfaction through accurate inspections, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum SKM3 in Automotive or any related field.
- Minimum SKM3 in Automotive or any related field.
- Have a valid driving license.
- Minimum 1-2 years experiences as an automotive foreman/mechanic/technician.
- Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Ability to perform both minor and major automotive repairs.
- Knowledge of workshop tools, equipment care, and 5S practices.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Action-oriented, fast learner, and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Strong integrity, work ethics, and teamwork mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct full vehicle inspections across all systems and components.
- Carry out routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and general maintenance.
- Repair and replace vehicle parts, including major works such as top and full engine overhauls.
- Communicate inspection results and repair updates clearly to Service Advisors.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and organization of workshop tools and equipment.
- Follow SOPs, safety regulations, and 5S practices (cleanliness, organization, waste management).
- Record all repair and service details in the system (such as , WEBMAX) accurately.
- Support continuous improvement in technical skills, processes, and workshop efficiency.
